Palatine, IL – High school seniors and students already attending college are encouraged to apply for State Senator Matt Murphy’s (R-Palatine) General Assembly Scholarship, which is now available on his website, www.senatormattmurphy.com.

  “The General Assembly Scholarship is a great way for students in the 27^th District to get financial assistance for their higher education,” Murphy said. “If you are a student who currently is or is planning to attend a state university, the General Assembly Scholarship covers the cost of one year of tuition.”

  Senator Murphy will be awarding eight scholarships this year based on financial need, civic engagement, academic criteria, and other factors detailed in the application. Applicants must be accepted at one of the fourteen state universities. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to apply.
